Isa Walker
Peer Mentor
Hi, I'm Isa and I've been volunteering with Meningitis Now for over 16 years, since my sister died of pneumococcal meningitis and septicaemia when I was 5 years old.
I became a Young Ambassador in 2014 and aspired to become a Peer Mentor to help others affected by meningitis.
My family and I man a checkpoint on the Five Valleys Walk most years, and we have all volunteered at a great many events.
I have met an innumerable amount of wonderful people, received all the support I could ever have asked for, and had so many life-impacting experiences all thanks to Meningitis Now. Since Hannah's death my family and myself have been joined in honouring my sister through them and I will be forever grateful.
