Asha Vijendran
Next Step Mentor
I’m Asha and I work as a Corporate Development Manager at the Millennium Centre in Cardiff.
I’ve worked for several different charities, including Prince’s Trust and Mencap, where I’ve run projects and supported young people with diverse backgrounds and experiences.
Have you always work in the UK?
No. I’ve also worked for a charity in Peru that supports children living in extreme poverty, where I fundraised and managed and recruited volunteers.
I sit on the Believe & Achieve advisory board and have enjoyed offering advice based on my knowledge and experiences.
What are your passions?
I love travelling and immersing myself in different cultures; on one of my trips around the world I volunteered with a conservation charity in South America. I love active challenges too. I’ve cycled from John O’Groats to Land’s End for the Motor Neurone Disease Association, trekked in Sweden where I faced freezing temperatures and this year I completed a triathlon too!
