The year you joined the charity

I joined in January 2022.

A brief overview of your role - what are you responsible for?

I oversee our brilliant team of fundraisers and communications staff. We have a big portfolio of fundraising activities and a busy communications programme, which I lead and develop. So many people help us every year to reach families and people who need our support, and it is a real pleasure to be part of such a big, happy team.

Your favourite part of your role

I really enjoy meeting people and discovering more about their stories. I'm looking forward to speaking with more supporters and people who need our help, and understanding how we can keep on being there for them.

Your biggest achievements

One of my best days at work was when a campaign I was leading went viral on social media and YouTube. It turned into a major news story in the UK and around the world.

A fun fact about yourself

I've appeared on Radio 1's Evening Session playing bass in a short-lived indie band!
