My favourite part of being on the Safety Team - meeting like minded people who all share something in common, most of which are very inspiring. I enjoy helping them achieve their goal of completing the challenges while at the same time spending a great weekend with my amazing fellow team members.
Dislikes it when - my alarm goes off in the mornings!
Likes it when - I can get out into the mountains for a few days
My advice to participants would be to train regular and frequent but get out on the mountains as often as possible carrying all the kit (or more) that you will carry on the challenge, mountain terrain is the best training environment as you use muscles you wont normally use in a gym. After a hard training session or a day in the mountains always have a protein drink to replenish those aching muscles, most of all follow the advice in your training manual and don't be afraid to ask us for help or advice.
