I have 30 years' experience working across a range of health-related roles
Bev Corbett
Director of Information and Support
Hi, I'm Bev, Director of Information and Support at Meningitis Now
The year you joined the charity
I first joined the charity in 2000 as Education and Training Manager and am delighted to be back in my role after a 12 year gap.
A brief overview of your role - what are you responsible for?
As Director of Information and Support I am responsible for the Research, Support Services and Volunteering teams. I work closely with a group of dedicated people to develop the work that we do in these areas.
I have 30 years' experience working across a range of health-related roles in different sectors, including charity and the NHS. I am passionate about health and healthcare, and meningitis and meningococcal disease have played an important part in my career.
Your biggest achievements
Becoming a nurse and using the skills and attributes I developed during my years in nursing to inform my career. Once a nurse always a nurse...
Your favourite part of your role
My favourite part of my role so far has been getting to know my teams and starting to think creatively about how we can meet the needs of all those affected by meningitis, and continue to add to the body of knowledge and understanding of the disease.
A fun fact about yourself
I am a mad cat woman!
