Remember loved ones with our Ribbon Appeal

Every year, we remember those who have lost their lives to meningitis by adorning our Tree of Remembrance at Gloucester Cathedral with ribbon dedications from our supporters.

Will you join us in dedicating a ribbon to a loved one? By also making a vital donation in their memory, you can help ensure Meningitis Now can continue to be there for everyone facing life after meningitis.

Make your donation today.

This year, we have also created a special online space where you can remember your loved one. Tributes to our Virtual Ribbon Tree can be shared and visited anytime by you, your family, and friends. Simply click here and follow the easy steps to create your dedication today.

Alex’s story

A talented DJ with his whole future ahead of him, Alex tragically died in 2020 aged just 25 after contracting meningitis. His mum, Sue, has kindly shared her story in support of our annual Ribbon Appeal, which offers everyone the chance to remember their loved ones at this time of year and donate to fight back against this devastating disease.

“It’s really important to me that we can learn from Alex’s illness and death from this horrible, aggressive infection, and prevent others from suffering in the same way. I’m grateful for the opportunity to work with Meningitis Now towards this aim and any amount you can give today will help enormously.”
– Sue, Alex’s Mum
