On 15 March 2025, we’d love you to join us for our first Welsh Firewalk!
Registration fee: £25
As you walk across the coals, you will demonstrate your inner strength and resilience, while making a real difference in the lives of others.
This a chance for the Meningitis Now community to come together to celebrate each other and their achievements, so we’d love you to bring family and friends along to watch and cheer you on.
Can anyone take part?
Almost anyone can take part in the Firewalk, but all walkers must be 14 years old on the day of the Firewalk event. If you have any accessibility requirements and would like to take part, please contact the fundraising team at Fundraising@meningitisnow.org, so that we ensure we can accommodate this with Blaze, our Firewalk Provider.
How on earth do I walk on fire without getting burnt you ask?
On the day, an experienced Firewalk instructor will provide our team of brave walkers with the essential training needed to carry out this daunting task. To ease your mind, firewalking is a safe activity when conducted properly. Our instructors are highly trained and will ensure that all safety precautions are taken. The coals are carefully prepared, and the walk is supervised by experienced professionals.
Where will my fundraising go?
Every pound you raise will help Meningitis Now to continue providing vital support to those affected by meningitis, as well as funding research into the prevention and treatment of the disease.
£10 could pay for two initial calls to our nurse-led Helpline
£70 could pay for a person to attend one of our activity-packed Family Days
£150 could pay for three, one-hour sessions of professional counselling for someone whose life has changed forever due to meningitis
