Carter-Ruck have supported Meningitis Now over many years, in memory of Nigel Tait’s daughter, Georgia, who tragically lost her life to meningitis the day after her 18th birthday.
Georgia achieved so much in her 18 years. She was a beautiful, caring and giving person who showed great determination, talent and had a wonderful sense of humour. She enjoyed a life full of love and fun and was a very special friend to so many. Georgia was a gifted student excelling in all areas at school. She was an A* GCSE student and would have surely sailed into Durham University with her A level results of 2A*s and 2As with an incredible 96% in Psychology, her chosen area of study.
The Georgia Frances Tait Forever Fund was founded in 2011 by members of her family. Since its foundation, Georgia’s family, friends and Carter-Ruck have helped to raise over £178,000 towards the fund which is used to help fund the excellent work of Meningitis Now.
Carter-Ruck has also provided support to help set up our Dormant Client Account scheme. Through this initiative, companies and firms alike can donate dormant client balances to Meningitis Now, which we can then use to fund our important work helping to save lives and rebuild futures.
We are therefore delighted that Carter-Ruck’s Managing Partner, Nigel Tait has become a Business Ambassador for Meningitis Now. As an Ambassador Nigel will continue to champion and promote the work of Meningitis Now.
