Remember loved ones with our Ribbon Appeal
Every year, we remember those who have lost their lives to meningitis by adorning our Tree of Remembrance at Gloucester Cathedral with ribbon dedications from our supporters. Some supporters also choose to wear a ribbon or display one in their home.
Will you join us in dedicating a ribbon to a loved one? By also making a vital donation in their memory, you can help ensure Meningitis Now can continue to be there for everyone facing life after meningitis.
This year, we have also created a special online space where you can remember your loved one. Tributes to our Virtual Ribbon Tree can be shared and visited anytime by you, your family, and friends. Simply click here and follow the easy steps to create your dedication today.
Alex’s story
A talented DJ with his whole future ahead of him, Alex tragically died in 2020 aged just 25 after contracting meningitis. His mum, Sue, has kindly shared her story in support of our annual Ribbon Appeal, which offers everyone the chance to remember their loved ones at this time of year and donate to fight back against this devastating disease.
How to make your tribute using the form below:
- Dedicate a ribbon in memory of a loved one, or in support of those affected by meningitis. If you'd like your ribbon to be on display on our Christmas Tree at Gloucester Cathedral please dedicate your ribbon by the 25th of November.

- Make a donation to help keep us fighting to defeat meningitis and support families like Alex’s.
