The team at Meningitis Now and I would like to wish everyone who celebrates Christmas a very happy one this year.

Our offices will be closed from today until Thursday 2 January, whilst the team take a break before entering the new year refreshed and ready to continue our vital work.

Our nurse-led Helpline will also be closed until 9am on 2 January, although the Helpline inbox will be monitored for urgent emails. Our Facebook peer support pages will remain available, where people with meningitis experience can share messages and answer each other’s questions. We will also be monitoring our social media platforms throughout the festive period.

I would like to take this opportunity to say a heartfelt thank you all for your incredible support during 2024. It’s been a busy year for our charity, with lots of impactful work we can be proud of across research, awareness and support. If you would like, you can read my ‘Review of the Year’ when it is published on our website on 30 December.

With your help, we can save lives and rebuild futures - thank you.

I hope you have a restful, and peaceful, Christmas.

With all good wishes,

Dr Tom Nutt, CEO

P.S. A special thank you to 13-year-old Lani, our Christmas card competition winner who designed our wonderful reindeer!
