She’s determined to help others and show them that they can beat the odds, as she relates here.
“My story started in 2008 when I was 37. I became ill and it took me six months to recover. After two weeks in hospital I was diagnosed with viral meningitis.
“It came back exactly a year later. The hospital wouldn’t believe me as they said you can’t have viral meningitis twice.
“A junior doctor contacted a specialist of rare disease who diagnosed me with Mollaret’s meningitis.
“Following time to recover and time with a specialist I was also diagnosed with CFS and fibromyalgia.
Highlight Mollaret’s to a wider audience
“It’s now 2021 and having had the disease seven times and the two conditions I have fought the odds and am still living my life without help. I am a survivor but a rare one.
“The objective is to help people like me and to highlight Mollaret’s to a wider audience as it’s so poorly known and understood.
“Help me help others and show them that you can beat the odds however difficult and lonely the journey can be.”
