We’ve launched a brand-new weekly lottery to give our supporters the chance to win a top prize of £25,000 whilst raising vital funds for our work.
We sat down with our Lottery Fundraising Manager, Jane Reed, to hear more about the exciting new project.
“We are excited to officially announce the launch of the Meningitis Now Weekly Lottery! It’s something we have been working on for a little while as we know it can make a huge difference to charities like ours.
“As well as offering our supporters a chance to win weekly prizes, the weekly lottery will create a really important new fundraising opportunity for Meningitis Now.
“Every Friday you will have the chance of winning a top prize of £25,000 or a fantastic array of runner-up cash prizes, ranging from £5 to £1,000. 35 of these prizes are guaranteed every week!
We asked Jane to tell us more about how people can get involved.
Signing up is quick and easy – visit our lottery website and follow the 5 simple steps:
- 1st Prize - £25,000 – match six balls in any order
- 2nd Prize - £1,000 – match five balls in any order
- 35 Guaranteed runner-up prizes 5 x £20, 10 x £10 and 20 x £5 – winners are randomly selected
Who can play?
You must be 18 or over and living in England, Scotland or Wales. No entrants are permitted from Northern Ireland, the Channel Islands or the Isle of Man.
How do I play?
Simply select six of your favourite numbers online (1-49) or go for a lucky dip. You can play up to 5 lines each week.
How does it work?
Six numbers between 1 and 49 are selected every Friday using a random number generator. We then check all of the eligible entries to see if any match the six or five numbers in any order.
If more than one eligible entry matches, the prize pot will be split equally between each winning entry. PLUS every week 35 winners are randomly selected from all eligible entries and are guaranteed to win one of our runner-up prizes.
How will I be helping Meningitis Now?
With 50p from every play coming directly to Meningitis Now, you will bring us closer to our vision of a future where no-one in the UK loses their life to meningitis and everyone impacted by the disease gets the support they need to help to rebuild their lives.
When do the draws take place?
Each Friday. Winners will be individually notified.
How much is it to play?
£1 per line per week via a monthly direct debit.
Can I select a date I would like my payments to come out?
Yes, either the 1st or 15th of the month.
When will I be entered in the draw?
After signing up you will be entered into the next available draw (16 working days later). This gives us time to complete the necessary admin processes including the verification of your payment, as well as claiming and receiving the funds from your bank. The exact date will be detailed in an email when you join.
Can I change my numbers/details/entries?
You can update your plays/details anytime via your online account.
I have a concern about gambling. What can I do?
