Jessica W's Story
What should have been the happiest of times for Jessica – the birth of her daughter – didn’t go as planned when she fell ill with suspected meningitis in August this year. The 31-year-old from Wakefield in West Yorkshire is making a good physical recovery, but mentally the trauma is still very much on her mind, as she tells us here.

Amy S’s story
Amy, from Kilsyth in North Lanarkshire, contracted viral meningitis at the age of 25 in November this year. Her symptoms included head pressure and headache, photophobia, body aches, sinusitis and vomiting. Fortunately treatment was prompt, but she’s still suffering some symptoms and struggling to get back to normal, as she tells us here.
